Dr. Godbout started his academic career with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA, where he received his doctorate. After graduation he practiced in Boston for 3 years before moving out to Illinois. Dr. Godbout has been practicing chiropractic care since 2002 in Massachusetts and Illinois.
His passion for athletics led him to obtain a specialization as a chiropractic sports physician. This gives him a greater ability to work with sports related injuries and a specific focus on injury prevention. His primary goal in treating athletes is to identify weaknesses that may lead to injury and correct them. That way the likelihood that those injuries will occur is greatly reduced and if they do occur, recovery will be much faster.
His focus is not just on the athlete, however. He treats everyone from birth to the elderly for a wide range of conditions. Everything from colic and chronic ear infections to arthritis and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Godbout always keeps the patient's health goals as the primary focus of care, in order to get them Back to Life. Whether life is bending over to pick up the laundry basket or go climb Mt. Everest, he is dedicated to making sure his patients have all the tools to accomplish those goals.

In terms of Dr. Godbout’s chiropractic care, these services for muscle repair, body mechanics, and rehabilitation maximize the effects and longevity of the spinal adjustments, especially through clinical massage and CST. To optimize physical performance, pre and post sports massages are commonly administered to competitors like tri-athletes, IronMen, marathon runners, and swimmers. Also, the therapies can be used as an integral part of your physical therapy and personal training program offered here by Justin Silver and Nick Selvaggio of Proformance Therapy. Other alternative therapies, such as Reflexology for the feet, address both the structural and energetic components of the body to correct all related symptoms of inflammation and disease.
The advantage of integrative medicine makes it possible to address the actual cause of your imbalance or pain, thereby supporting your body’s self-healing mechanism and the prevention of new symptoms. Within each session you can expect time to discuss all of your concerns, be given feedback, and receive any necessary home care exercises. Together we will set the intention for your session and make progress to optimal health and recovery.
